RE: Forum Software change
Hi All,
Just trying out the new forum software. It is so far,[/i] very easy to use, I like it.
Great choice SST.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed
(and hence clamorous to be led to safety)
by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

H. L. Mencken.

The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that
"they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions.

RE: Forum Software change
I do not believe you have, RSC.

Must be a problem with the data transfer.

Now that we know about the problem, I'm sure the board owner will correct it.
I just looked at your account, and as far as I can see you should be able to login.

I will email you and maybe you can describe the exact problem you are having when attempting to log in.
RSC - email on it's way. I'll be logged on for a few hours and should be able to assist during this time.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

RE: Forum Software change
I have looked at your profile and see that you are still a registered member in good standing.

I think you are using the bad link that has been dropped, since it is corrupted and that even when you try logging in you remain a guest.I had that problem too until I got the other link fixed and presto! no more log in problems.

Try this one instead HERE

It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies.

Is there something we can do at that "bad link" to get it to send folks here.

We may be losing a few members because of the confusion.

RE: Forum Software change
Post 25 has the correct link to the forum.

It appears that I will have to send out e-mails to alert them to the correct link.

That'll work.

Believe you can send a "bulk" email to all members, can't you?

It is weird that you were able to post here before and now you are being stopped.

It drives me crazy!

Hi All,
I had the same problem getting back on.
But, I then was allowed back on (last night), don't know what I did different however. ?

NB - Just remembered what I did different, I followed a different link to here,
ie, a good one, and hey presto logged in as normal.
