EXCERPT:

It's The Fish, Silly

The Legislative Institute for Evidential Science (LIES) has just completed another in-depth Global Warming Research Project.

It had come to the attention of the institute that some global warming skeptics were claiming that sea levels aren’t rising as predicted.

That makes no sense -

if the fish are drinking more, wouldn't they pee more, causing the sea level to rise?

Huh

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Nah! Its the overfishing. Once all the fishermen go out of business because of carbon taxes and cost of diesel, then the sea will rise as the fish get fatter.

The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. - ANON

I would post it this thread, but I can not as I may have a vested interest.. Big Grin

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed
(and hence clamorous to be led to safety)
by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

H. L. Mencken.

The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that
"they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions.

RE: Institute Research Reveals Why Sea Levels Aren't Rising
From the blog post:

After checking the data, it appeared on the surface that they seemed to be right.

There's the flaw - they were only checking on the surface, even though they claimed it was an "in-depth project". Such a study can only be shallow and superfishal. I also notice that the study hasn't been pier-reviewed, and the inhumane treatment of the subject specimens violates their piscatorial rights. I have a bone to pick with LIES and those responsible for this sham of a website, and I will be making my feelings known to the journals of Sea Level Estimation And Zoned Ecologies (SLEAZE) and Proceedings of the Internationa Fifth Forum on Level Estimation (PIFFLE).

In any case, it is well known that when a fisherman pulls a fish from the sea
it is <-------------- THIS BIG ---------------> yet when it gets to a plate it is <- this big ->
