Mcclane I just have to ask. Are the Flames going to keep Bertuzzi?
I hate to admit this, but i rarely watch hockey unless the flames make it to the playoffs. :embarrassed: But I believe they will, as he did quite well last season. |
hey guys, I'll be honest, I didn't take any heed to his 'environmental' craze until i was deluged by the media about recycling, windmills, solar energy, doom and gloom from 'global warming', and lastly what really got my goat was this earth day nonsense. I decided that was enough and began searching on the web for any forums that would discuss anything anti environment. that is when I found AE's website, and later on SST joined AE's forum and invited me over here. Been here since. I work at a University (University of Calgary), and believe me it is almost sickening watching these students being taught what to think rather than how to think. There is even an 'eco club' on campus, :barf: I also got my hands slapped for introducing a link to noteviljustwrong.com in my email sig at work. Someone complained that a person in IT should not be broadcasting their political views across campus, so I was asked to remove it, which I did. But I have the satisfaction in knowing that before that occured the emails i've sent out (and there is alot of them) reached a wide audience, even in the president's office. ;D
Good to see you here, Mac. ![]()
nice to see you here to AE ;D |

Re: Who am I?
Hello Richard111,
good to see you here. Derek. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken. The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that "they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions. |

Re: Who am I?
Are you saying that Richard 111 from green world registered here?
That is good news. I enjoyed reading the links he provided over there before I opted out of the conversations there a while back. |

Re: Who am I?
I believe he is one and the same Mike.
No doubt he will confirm with a suitable link..

Re: Who am I?
When he comes back to post,we can only speculate that he is the one we know,at several other places.
It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies. –William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952 |

Re: Who am I?
Hi folks. Yes it is I. Many belated thanks for all the greetings.
Richard is my given name and the 111 was because there were comments from two other Richards ahead of me. Didn't want to use 3 for obvious reasons. My official position in society is Old Age Pensioner. I have no University qualifications though I did work in a University for some years where I qualified as a Novell Network Manager. (Novell R.I.P.) Mostly I worked as an electronics techie. Started out on thermionic valves. Built my first Baxandle amplifier in 1956. ;D Still fiddle around but can't do the fine work so easy any more. Been keeping myself occupied building my own mortgage free house. Been living in it for five years now. Hope to complete final finnishing touches next year. The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. - ANON |
