RE: I'M BAAAAAAKKKKKK
Hello Mike, wondered where you had gone.
Welcome back. Not much change while you were away. The Arctic is warming because the ice is melting. I kid you not. The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. - ANON |

Welcome back Mike.

I have been watching the circular logic that is now being displayed by the faithful. If people stop believing your claims you need to start promoting the opposite as new, Never explored, Absolutely Robust, And confirmed by my psychic train of hallucinations! |

Derek:
That is what goes through my mind when trying to explain why some would have a press release proclaiming something like this, which Richard posted: "The Arctic is warming because the ice is melting." I can come up with no other logical reason for making that statement so came up with my own: How to do Climate science: If people stop believing your claims you need to start promoting the opposite as new, Never explored, Absolutely Robust, And confirmed by your psychic train of hallucinations! I guess the "my" was just a projection error as I was trying to think like a Post Normal Climatologist and got a little carried away. One to many Mushrooms ;-) I hope that makes it more transparent than the block of granite the IPCC uses to judge their transparency against! The IPCC claims the process is Open (as a locked safe) and transparent ( as a block of granite). |

RE: I'M BAAAAAAKKKKKK
Thanks Mike, I now "get" what you were saying.
To believe what the IPCC / UN claim is new / robust / never seen before "science" it would have to be a dream world, because what we actually observe is at complete odds to what the IPCC / UN "consensus climate science" say is happening. " The IPCC claims the process is Open (as a locked safe) and transparent ( as a block of granite). " Spot on. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken. The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that "they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions. |

RE: I'M BAAAAAAKKKKKK
"The Arctic is warming because the ice is melting." = Press release headline.
"The Arctic will warm if the ice melts." = Small print in the article. The second statement is true, the first statement is deliberately misleading. The Arctic has been ice free many times in the recent past. Fossils at Svalbard indicate it was at least semi-tropical at some period. The world is still here. No big extinction event tied to any warming period ever. Why the panic? The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. - ANON |

I think it is the ignorance of the people,is why they fall for many chicken little bromides.
