Back in business!
Readers,
With generous help from the forum founder Steve LeMaster,we are back in business! My server had made some upgrades without warning and made my old forum version obsolete.I have now upgraded the forum and all is well. Please accept my apologies. Sincerely, Sunsettommy It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies. –William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952 |

RE: Back in business!
Your apology is accepted.
Your Server folks apology's acceptance is still pending. Thanks to Steve and you for the effort to bring the board back. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant! |

RE: Back in business!
Thank you for the explanation, there was some consternation, and
not a little concern from several sources voiced over this side of the pond. Good to know all is well. THANK YOU Steve. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken. The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that "they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions. |

Yes,
it is fixed and a great big thank you for Steve LeMaster. He fixed the Blog problem AND the forums too.Just one file repair for each one and that made the difference. He generously provided his time and effort over the weekend to do it.And for that I will remember it. Thank you Steve for clearing it all up for us!

Once I tracked down the offending file (loginconvert.php), I just extracted it from the convert folder and replaced it with the existing one. The blog's issue was an errant string on line 42 in the index.php file. |
